Calm After the Storm

Yesterday afternoon dark clouds rolled in and thunder boomed. Rain poured down.  Afterwards we were left with a perfect calm.  Mist was rising from the lake, and still water punctuated by the odd rain drop.

I had been running on the treadmill while the storm crashed on, lightning flashing and rain lashing the window panes.  I became totally lost in the run and when I was done, looked out the window.

It just reminded me, once again, that there is so much to see when we just take the time to look.
